Girl Scouts Give to the Community Food Bank

Did you know…

Every month the Community Food Bank feeds 250,000 Central Valley residents.

Did you know

2013 was the driest year in the recorded history of California and is continuing through 2014.

That means…

This year more families in the Central Valley will need extra help just to make ends meet.

This upcoming year in our Central Valley, water is going to a scarce thing. That in turn means no produce for harvest or jobs in addition to higher food costs will create a harder time for families to make it. Girl Scouts of Central California South are going to try and do our part to help out! We are going to be requesting at every one of our events, classes and gatherings that folks do what they can and bring a donation.

The need is for: non-perishable food items, baby formula, diapers, tooth paste and brushes. Donations can be brought to any Girl Scout event or office.

We are doing this to help our neighbors and for the knowledge that we are helping our sister scouts!
