12 Learning Facilitators from our council just attended the Consortium of Girl Scout Learning Facilitators conference in northern California at Camp Bothin.

They had a  great time learning, networking and having  fun. They stayed at the historic Camp Bothin, owned by Girl Scouts of Northern California. There were over 100 Learning Facilitators at the conference. They had classes on Engaging Multi-Generational Volunteers, Inquiry Based Learning (Girl-Led) activities, Video: The Now Medium, and Go Outside (nature activities). The Go Outside session was led by GSCCS Lee Nave, Carmen Decker, Holly Derington, and Sheila Otteson. Everyone had a wonderful time learning and networking with each other and making new friends.

“What I LOVE about Girl Scouts is that we are always a sister to every other Girl Scout and I met a bunch of new sisters this weekend! What a great time we had! We are all learning facilitators from Central, Coastal and Northen California and also from Nevada. We provide coaching to help leaders of Girl Scouts become the very best leaders they can be! And WE had a great time getting together: learning, sharing , eating (very well I might add), and singing (my favorite pasttime!)” – Eloise Golden, Girl Scout Alumna and Trainer.
