Are you ready to take on the important role of a babysitter? This hands-on training is designed for Girl Scouts ages 12 and older who want to learn how to care for young children safely, responsibly, and confidently.

During this interactive course, Girl Scouts will:
  • Respond to emergencies using basic, first aid and rescue breathing
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
  • Identify safety and hygiene best practices
  • Supervise infants and young children with confidence
  • Perform essential child-care tasks like diapering and feeding
Cadettes who complete the training will earn the Babysitting Badge, and all Girl Scouts will receive a Babysitter Training Patch.

Special Circumstances

Cancellation Policy: As a courtesy to our waitlisted registrants, members registered for this event are encouraged to cancel at least 7 days prior to the close of the event's registration by contacting customercare@girlscoutsccs.org so that we may open the space up to other members. Refund requests must be made in writing to customercare@girlscoutsccs.org 7 days prior to the registration deadline for the event. There are no refunds after the deadline or closing date of the event. Dates shown in the cancellation policy below are strictly to allow staff the ability to process cancellations for all events, year-round, and are not specific to this event. Please see the registration end date to determine the cancellation deadline for this event.

Program Credits Policy: Choose Program Credits as the payment method to redeem Cookie Dough/Nut Bucks/Renewal Program Credits. Registration will not be finalized until Program Credits have been approved, processed by staff, and the Cookie Dough and Nut Bucks Form has been submitted. This form must be received to complete registration. When using program credits at checkout, please allow 7 business days for approval. Events and activities do sell out quickly, so it is recommended that members register early.

Wellness Policy: To ensure the health and safety of all Girl Scouts, volunteers, and staff, we ask for the cooperation of caregivers and volunteers in keeping their child at home if they exhibit any symptoms of illness, such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or gastrointestinal issues. We encourage good hygiene practices, including regular handwashing and covering coughs and sneezes.
