Artrageous Camp

Crafts, painting, drawing, and even writing: all of this and more at this awesome camp! June 9 to June 12, for all Girl Scout Levels.

DIY Camp

Unlock your creative side and make your ideas come to life to unlock your DIY skills. June 20 to June 23, for Juniors-Ambassadors.

Fairytale Camp

Enjoy the outdoors in fairytale style, where your imagination will shine! June 12 to June 15, for Daisies-Juniors.

Camp Program Information

Life-changing adventures await! Girl Scout camp programs are for all girls, grades K-12. Check the age requirements for each program. If you are not a current Girl Scout member, just pay the annual membership fee and let the fun begin! Please allow 24 hours for your membership to process prior to registering for a camp program.

Day Camp

Girls who want to have fun all day but go home each night will enjoy our day camp programs. Available in all areas of the state, we designed these programs with the girl-on-the-go in mind.

If girls are ready to go to camp and stay for a few days, it’s time for overnight camp. These are council-sponsored, last two or more nights, and generally have a theme. Many of the council’s resident camps are held at Camp El-O-Win but there are also multi-night programs at other sites.

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (CIT)

Take a Program Aide into the great outdoors and you’ve got a Counselor-in-Training! With so many camps and programs across the state, you will become one with nature and make gobs of friends—some of the eight-legged variety. If you love being outside and helping make things run smoothly, we want you!

It couldn’t be easier! You can register for most programs 24/7, from the comfort of your own home, by registering online! Camp Programs requires a $75 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration before your registration is processed, in which case the balance must be paid in full by the stated payment deadline. Cookie Dough and Program Credits may be used for program deposits.

ONLINE: Secure your spot by registering for programs online. Online payment methods are bank debit cards or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, or AMEX). Cookie Dough and Program Credits may be used to register online.
IN PERSON: Secure your spot by visiting one of Council locations. The Gold Mine store will take your payment for Camp Programs. Located in Fresno at 1377 W Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA 93711 and in Bakersfield, at 2160 Mars Ct. 93308.

Confirmation of registration will be emailed to you when your payment is processed, if your current email address is on file. You will also receive an email reminder approximately one week prior to the program with additional information such as what to expect at camp, emergency contact numbers, etc.

Girl Scouts of Central California South desires every Girl Scout to experience camp regardless of financial situations. We encourage our Girl Scouts to fundraise using the Fall Product and Cookie Programs. Camperships are to assist with camp fees but do not cover the entire cost of camp. Your Girl Scout will also need to submit a paragraph explaining why she would like to attend camp. Daisies and Brownies have an option of drawing what they would like to do at camp.

The deadline to apply is April 30, 2024. Complete and email to customercare@girlscoutsccs.org.

Girls will be contacted by the beginning of May whether or not they were awarded a campership.

Policies

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Refunds will be granted under the following conditions:

The refund request is received before the cancellation deadline (found in the event details in your MY GS account).
Girl Scouts of Central California South cancels the program.
The girl or family moves away from the area.
A physician confirms that the registrant is physically unable to participate.

All requests for refunds/cancellations must be emailed to Customer Carebefore the cancellation deadline. Refund requests must include:

The participant’s full name
The participant's address
The program name
The program date
The reason for the refund/cancellation request

Allow up to six weeks for refunds. Refunds will be issued to whom the payment was received.

PAPERWORK

Health and safety information including activity waivers, health forms, and camper release forms are available through our GSCCS Camper Packet. Please complete the requested information in a timely manner. If your girl is a returning camper, you will only need to update information that may have changed since her last summer camp experience. For girls attending overnight programs of three or more nights, a Physical Examination Form is required. This form must be completed by a physician and be current within 12 months of the program date. MEDICATIONS

Both prescription and over-the-counter medications must be in a plastic bag labeled with the participants name. All medications must be in their original container. Give medications to the designated First Aider at check in.

SPECIAL NEEDS

For questions about specific needs or to request special accommodations, please contact Customer Care.

ALLERGIES

You will receive a CampDoc health form via email to provide allergy information. Camp First Aiders will keep track of individual needs and will make accommodations whenever possible for food or environmental allergies. Always feel free to discuss any concerns with the camp director.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

We have storm shelters at each camp property. Camp staff continually monitor the weather. If there is an emergency at camp, we follow a safety plan, and you will be notified.
