In this first aid workshop, Girl Scouts will gain essential life-saving skills in a fun and interactive environment. Led by CSUB nursing Students from the California Nursing Students Association (CNSA), participants will learn: 

  • Basic first aid techniques, including how to assess a scene, prioritize safety, and seek help
  • How to care for common injuries like cuts, burns, sprains, and fractures
  • Life-saving responses to choking, severe bleeding, and cardiac arrest
  • Proper handwashing and hygiene practices to prevent illness

This workshop is designed to empower Girl Scouts of all ages and levels with the confidence and knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies. No prior experience is needed - just a willingness to learn and make a difference!

Cancellation Policy: As a courtesy to our waitlisted registrants, members registered for this event are encouraged to cancel at least 7 days prior to the close of the event's registration by contacting customercare@girlscoutsccs.org so that we may open the space up to other members. Refund requests must be made in writing to customercare@girlscoutsccs.org 7 days prior to the registration deadline for the event. There are no refunds after the deadline or closing date of the event. Dates shown in the cancellation policy below are strictly to allow staff the ability to process cancellations for all events, year-round, and are not specific to this event. Please see the registration end date to determine the cancellation deadline for this event.

Program Credits Policy: Choose Program Credits as the payment method to redeem Cookie Dough/Nut Bucks/Renewal Program Credits. Registration will not be finalized until Program Credits have been approved, processed by staff, and the Cookie Dough and Nut Bucks Form has been submitted. This form must be received to complete registration. When using program credits at checkout, please allow 7 business days for approval. Events and activities do sell out quickly, so it is recommended that members register early.

Wellness Policy: To ensure the health and safety of all Girl Scouts, volunteers, and staff, we ask for the cooperation of caregivers and volunteers in keeping their child at home if they exhibit any symptoms of illness, such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or gastrointestinal issues. We encourage good hygiene practices, including regular handwashing and covering coughs and sneezes.
