Location: Trailhead at the Trail of 100
Giants
Address: Co Rte 107, Porterville, CA 93257
💚 Meeting Location:
We'll gather at the Trail of 100 Giants
Trailhead - a perfect starting point for our adventure.
Trail of 100 Giants:
An easy, family-friendly trail! This paved path ensures
everyone can enjoy the magnificent trees, making it wheelchair and
stroller accessible. Perfect for all ages! Tagalongs are invited,
but badges are earned by our Girl Scouts in the Trailblazing
Club.
Healthy Picnic:
We will enjoy a delicious picnic after the trail and go
over highlights, things we learned, and how we can progress from
this experience. Plus, we will talk about how to pick and pack
nutrient-dense foods to fuel our bodies on long hikes. Trail
suggestions in the area will be provided for families and troops
to further explore based on their comfort level. Kate will stay
behind at the Trail of 100 Giants Trailhead for awhile, should
anyone require assistance or extra supplies.
🌲 Let's make memories, learn about nature, and enjoy the great outdoors together! 🌲
Please note, this is not a drop-off event. Girl Scouts will need to stay with a guardian or Troop Leader. Parking is $12 per vehicle.
Don't miss out on this incredible hiking experience! We
can't wait to see you there!
