Ready to take on the important role of a babysitter?
Join this hands-on training designed for Cadettes and older Girl Scouts who want to learn how to care for young children safely, responsibly, and confidently.

In this interactive course, you'll learn how to:

  • Respond to emergencies with basic first aid
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
  • Practice safety and hygiene best practices
  • Supervise infants and young children with confidence
  • Perform essential child-care tasks like diapering and feeding

Cadettes who complete the training will earn the Babysitting Badge, and all participants will receive a Babysitter Training Patch.

Training Cancellation Policy: 

This is a specialized training.  There are no refunds due to third party event.

 

Accommodations: 

GSCCS is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for attendees who may have special circumstances or needs that may require alternative planning. Attendees with special circumstances should include the accommodation need in the box labeled "Special Circumstances" for our staff to review. Additionally, any dietary needs should be included in the "Dietary Restrictions" box.

 

Program Credits:

Choose Program Credits as the payment method to redeem Cookie Dough/Nut Bucks/Renewal Program Credits. Registration will not be finalized until Program Credits have been approved by staff and the Cookie Dough and Nut Bucks Form has been submitted https://www.cognitoforms.com/GirlScoutsOfCentralCaliforniaSouth/onlineregistrationdigitalcookiedoughnutbuckspaymentform. When using program credits at checkout, please allow 2-3 days for approval. Events and activities do sell out quickly, so it is recommended that members register early and redeem physical Cookie Dough or Nut Bucks.



Wellness Policy: To ensure the health and safety of all Girl Scouts, volunteers, and staff, we ask for the cooperation of caregivers and volunteers in keeping their child at home if they exhibit any symptoms of illness, such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or gastrointestinal issues. We encourage good hygiene practices, including regular handwashing and covering coughs and sneezes.
