We're excited to launch The Sensory Success Project, made possible by the generous support of the Women's and Girls' Fund! This special workshop is designed to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where every girl feels seen, supported, and empowered.
Through interactive, hands-on activities, girls will explore how their senses work, practice self-regulation strategies, and discover sensory tools that help people feel calm, focused, and confident. Along the way, participants will learn about neurodiversity, strengthen empathy, and gain a deeper understanding of how everyone experiences the world differently and why those differences matter.
This experience encourages connection, builds confidence, and celebrates inclusion in a fun and meaningful way. Join us for a powerful opportunity to learn, explore, and grow together while earning your Sensory Success patch!
What to Expect
- Learn how our senses support emotional well-being and how we can use them to feel calm, focused, and confident
- Explore Touch and Texture through hands-on activities with fidgets and different fabrics
- Discover Sound and Focus by listening to soft, soothing sounds
- Experience Smell and Memory using kid friendly essential oils
- Observe calming visuals with sparkling glitter jars
- Practice gentle movement activities to stretch, reset, and regulate energy
- Create your own Sensory Success Tool, including a calm bottle and a calm reminder card to take home

This is a dropoff event; adults who are Livescanned and background checked and interested in chaperoning may complete the Chaperone Interest Form below, and will be contacted if there is a need, as submitting a request does not guarantee placement.

Refunds and Cancellations: Transfers, cancellations, or refund requests must be made in writing to customercare@girlscoutsccs.org 7 days prior to the registration deadline for the event. There are no refunds after the deadline or closing date of the event. Dates shown in the cancellation policy below are strictly to allow staff the ability to process cancellations for all events, year-round and are not specific to this event. Please see the registration end date to determine the cancellation deadline for this event.
Program Credits: Choose Program Credits as the payment method to redeem Cookie Dough/Nut Bucks/Renewal Program Credits. Registration will not be finalized until Program Credits have been approved, processed by staff, and the Cookie Dough and Nut Bucks Form has been submitted https://www.cognitoforms.com/GirlScoutsOfCentralCaliforniaSouth/OnlineRegistrationDigitalCookieDoughNutBucksPaymentForm . This form must be received to complete registration. When using program credits at checkout, please allow 2-3 days for approval. Events and activities do sell out quickly, so it is recommended that members register early.
Special Circumstances: GSCCS is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for attendees who may have special circumstances or needs who may require alternative planning.
