Legacy Troop
A Legacy Troop is a Girl Scout Troop that has demonstrated years of dedication, longevity, and commitment to the Girl Scout Promise and Law. These Troops lead by example, upholding tradition, fostering leadership, and serving as role models for other Girl Scouts across generations.
Why Become A Legacy Troop?
Striving to be a Legacy Troop means building lasting traditions, strengthening bonds, and creating a foundation where every Girl Scout can thrive. Legacy Troops show the impact of dedication and service, inspiring future generations to lead with courage, confidence, and character.
Incentives Of Being A Legacy Troop:
- $150 in Program Credits
- Girl Scout Experience Box with onboarding of four new Brownies or four new Daisies OR a GSCCS Welcome Kit
- Legacy Troop Pin/Patch
Requirements to be considered a Legacy Troop:
- Complete the MY27 Back to Troop Update
- Leaders have completed all three Learn to Lead trainings
- Host a Grow Your Troop recruitment with staff at least once per year
- 75% Early Bird Renewal Rate
- Complete Troop Financials by June 30th
- Participation in Fall and Cookie Product Programs
- Send a representative to your Service Unit’s monthly meeting
- Complete a service project or represent GSCCS in your community
- Plus one of the following engagement activities:
- Host a Sister Troop Meeting
- Host or participate in a Bridging Ceremony
- Attend a GSCCS Signature Event
- GSCCS Signature Events:

- Launch
- World Thinking Day
- Camporee
- Highest Award Ceremony
- Council-Wide Bridging Event
- Entrepreneurship Expo
