What Girl Scouts Do

"Did you know that Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is the largest leadership organization for girls in the world? Currently, there are about 2.5 million girl and adult members worldwide. DId you also know that more than 50 million American women alive today partiicipated in Girl Scouts growing up?" (Girl Scouts of the USA, Girl Scouts: Fun Facts and Figures).

Not a Girl Scout yet? No problem–become a Girl Scout member, create your account and immediately get access to all Girl Scout programs.

At Girl Scouts of Central California South, your girl will prepare for leadership, success, and adventure in a safe, no-limits place designed for and by girls!

How? Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience—a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities like earning badges in our four pillars: Entrepreneurship, LIfe Skills, Outdoors and STEM. Also by selling cookies, adventuring outdoors, exploring science and working with the community.

We even have some famous Girl Scout Alums:

  • On the stage and screen include Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Abigail Breslin, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Dakota Fanning.
  • Star athletes include tennis players Venus and Serena Williams.
  • Media greats Katie Couric, Barbara Walters, and Robin Roberts (Girl Scouts of the USA, Girl Scouts: Fun Facts and Figures).

A Girl Scout is also a G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™. These traits define girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. This is the Girl Scout DNA. Below you’ll find more information on what Girl Scouts can do.
