Summer's calling and adventure awaits right in our own backyard. Girl Scouts will hit the road locally to uncover the hidden gems of their town. From local businesses to meaningful community landmarks, girls will explore what makes their area unique while learning more about the people and places that shape it.

Along the way, they will build confidence, curiosity, and community connection while making new friends and creating unforgettable summer memories. Get ready to see your town through a whole new lens.

What to Expect on Day 1:

The stars may seem far away-but there's a whole world behind how we explore them. Girls will step into the fascinating world of astronomy with an exciting, behind-the-scenes visit to the Fresno State Planetarium. This immersive experience will spark curiosity, build confidence, and introduce girls to skills and career paths they may not have explored before.

Throughout the program, girls will:

  • Tour the Fresno State Planetarium and explore how a professional planetarium operates
  • Learn about careers in astronomy, science education, and museum work through interaction with staff
  • Experience observing stars, planets, and galaxies while discovering how science and technology create engaging learning experiences
