Serving as a Girl Representative to the Council Board of Directors offers high school aged Girl Scouts opportunities to learn real-world leadership skills. This high stakes business atmosphere will help Girl Representatives understand the inner workings of Girl Scouts and the ways the Board influences and supports the Council. During their two year term, Girl Representatives will also get invaluable experience in long-term planning and financial accountability.

What is expected of Girl Representatives to the Council Board of Directors?
Girl Representatives are asked to attend each Board Meeting (5 total each year), GSCCS Annual Meeting, and Gold Award Ceremony. Girl Representatives will be expected to join a Board Committee, speak on their experiences in Girl Scouting, and participate in Board activities. They will also host and lead a quarterly "Girl Talk" zoom meeting with all Girl Scouts in the Council footprint. They will be the voice of Girl Scouts in our Council to the Board of Directors!
How do I know if I’m eligible for consideration?
Girl Representatives to the Council Board of Directors must:
All applications will be reviewed and considered by a committee of the Board of Directors. Finalists will be interviewed by a committee of the Board of Directors and recommended for approval by the full Board of Directors. We look forward to reviewing your application!
